You can make the edge and voice dial work. Is there anyway we can get someone to dump their 76 firmware so we can use it to flash our phones? I don't even know if this is possible.
yep, this is what I'm thinking about. I can ask some guy who has 76 firmware to dump it and then we can flash our phones with updated firmware. This is just only for AP part, BP will remain the same version. I'll upload utility later today. Better find some volunteers![]()
That sounds great evaldas!![]()
Has anyone figured out how to update the BP to 74 from 41 or 42 or is 74 still secure?
I rewrote my older motodump utility with hope that someone having latest R52_G_0D.76 firmware will be so kind and share it with us. This version does not dump /ezxlocal partition which contains personal information (contacts, sms, emails etc.). So the dump contains only firmware code and no personal info.
Utility for dumping firmware is attached to this post.
Requirements
You'll need about 55 MB of free space available on your TransFlash card.
You should know how to telnet to your phone over USB cable.
Instructions
Unzip contents of motodump2.zip archive and copy files "76dump.sh" and "motodump" to /mmc/mmca1 directory (TransFlash card) on your phone.
telnet and login to phone over USB connection:
goto to directory containing 76dump.sh and motodump:Code:telnet 192.168.1.2
execute 76dump.sh script:Code:# cd /mmc/mmca1
Wait a few minutes until command returns to prompt.Code:# ./76dump.sh
There will be 2 new files in /mmc/mmca1:
"firmware.dmp" (32MB) and "tffsa.dmp" (20MB).
Download these 2 files to your PC, compress and please send to usThat's all.
