    Default How To: Edit all 5 applications shortcuts on the bottom?

    I can't edit all 5 application symbols on the bottom of the main window.

    The first "profile alarm" is fixed by system but 2 of the other 4 icons which i can edit in "Standby-Display-Setup" are disabled.

    So there are only the last 2 icons which i can edit with my own applications.

    Is there any way to edit all 5 icons with own applications?

    PS: Sorry for my bad English.

    You need to edit /ezxlocal/download/appwrite/setup/ezx_idle.cfg.

    Telnet in and copy (cp) it to some directory from where you can edit it (/diska or /mmc/mmca1). Inside will be something like this:

    nextEvent = 1
    shortcut_1_freeze = 0
    shortcut_1 = 81
    shortcut_2_freeze = 0
    shortcut_2 = 85
    shortcut_3_freeze = 0
    shortcut_3 = 71
    shortcut_4_freeze = 0
    shortcut_4 = 61
    shortcuts = 1

    Edit the shortcut_x = xx line to another number that corresponds to the app shortcut you want to have there (for the list look below). Then save it (remember to save as unicode text format when using wordpad!), remove (rm) the original ezx_idle.cfg and copy the edited one to /ezxlocal/download/appwrite/setup.

    @f0x0r
    a big thx for you!

    I have found this thread changing shortcut and use the "EZXlocal editor" now for easy editing.

    One question:
    How can i find out numbers from apps which i have installed myself?
    609 is CoPilot

    I need numbers for TimeMachine or any java app.

    i think that the numbering for user installed apps depends on the order that they are installed; my suggestion is to use the first two (the "frozen") shortcuts for pre-installed apps, then use the home-screen setup function to assign the other two.

    i you really want to assign the first two short-cuts to user installed apps then use the setup-function to assign them to the un-frozen ones, then go into the config file and copy the numbers over to the frozen ones.

    for what stands the line nextEvent = 1

    is it for the number of next events shown???

    I also changed this more or less successfully, but there are only 4 lines for shortcuts but 5 symbols in the phone.

    Is there a posibility to get rid of the first fixed "Ringtone profile"?

    If the value of this is 1, the calander events are displayed on the home screen...Change the value to 0 to disable that....
