its not on torrents its on their ftp...
took me few days to get it althought there is no use to me since i don't own a780..
flashed 74 on my friend's phone but it failed at 93% , tried 3-4 times and turned out failed all the time so flashed it back to 50

i am not too sure about the hardware in a780 but ppl on ccmove said that all the a780 should have come with gps emulation hardware or something
like that. So that means its the matter to do with the filmware not the hardware?

There's R52_G_0D.61.A1R transition firmware. Is this american firmware you're talking about?

Steps to update from 50 to 74 firmware (please correct me if I'm wrong):

    step1 - R52_G_0D.61.A1R_doc_erase.shx
    step2 - R52_G_0D.61.A1R_gsm_ezx_kernel.shx
    step3 - R52_G_0D.61.A1R_gsm_ezx_language.shx
    step4 - a780_eraser.shx
    step5 - R52_G_0D.B4.B1P_flash_dev_4M_rom.shx
    step6 - R52_G_0D.74.A2R_0D.C0.B1P_SE6820AD3F1_L003_S008_P004_GCOA780000E1025_full.shx

So I've flashed step1-step3 succesfully, but step4 and step5 fails with PST error about "secure flash interface". Then I flash step6. After that AP firmware is 74 but BP firmware is 50.
Did you see any solution for this error on ccmove?

    i think
    R52_G_0D.74.A2R_0D.C0.B1P_SE6820AD3F1_L003_S008_P004_GCOA780000E1025_full is a german firmware?
    and
R52_G_0D.74.A2R_0D.C0.B1P_SE6822AD3B1_L001_S011_P004_SE6822AD3B1025 is the north american one
well but shouldn't differ by much apart from the language i guess...

oh thanks, I didn't notice the difference in the filename at the first
did you see any solution about AT+MODE=99, telnet over usb to the phone? I couldn't find any info yet

what about GPS/GSM in the fact it's possible with some programmable dsp, but i've never heard that motorola phone's radio is based on such chip.

    Default new one

hello i've got a german a780 with enabled gps since it comes out in germany in august...
i'd like to know how i can access to the phone with telnet, because the at+mode=99 does not match... the modem alway answers with ERROR
is there another trick to bring the phone into usblan mode?
who do i know, which firmware i have? sorry for my questions but without a real access to the phone you can't get much info about it...
