i have not seen any difference in signal quality on different firmwares.
have you checked your network setup?
maybe you have only enabled 2 bands.
Hey guys I have an old A780, I already flashed it with a German version of firmware, now I live in Central America and after flash my cell the signal becomes very poor, I mean I really need to stay just beside a signal tower to get a good signal, do I have to change something on the firmware or do I really need to change my old phone.
Thanks,
hehe sorry for my ignorance on this but where in the phone I can can find that network setup? I have been trying everywhere I guess may be I missing something, thanks for your reply
calling keypad (upper right corner) -> "setup" in the menu (lower left corner) -> "network setup" -> "search setup" in menu
ok I did that, now do I have to have at least a little bit of signal, because with the SIM card inserted it show me other options and I don't have signal at all here at my work with that cell phone.
Actually I have a C139 and it has not too bad signal here.
it doesnt look like a software problem to me, but it is never a failure to make tests with different firmwares (this is easier than hardware disassemply)
