whew I guess I was really lucky. I thought the fact that the fw is full that it completely rewrites the phones system.

I thought that it would not matter whatever fw it was from since it is not an update but rather a whole OS will be installed like a 'clean format' (solution most recommended for a problematic Windows system after a year from its installation ['inevitable' you would have to sooner or later]) but I guess I was wrong good thing luck was on my side. I installed that fw thinking that it was the latest then you posted yours to which I'm still enjoying.

I guess one feature I wan't to know if it works, I still could not verify since I've only seen the E instead of the G in which I think is a bug rather that an Edge service since that place I always get a GPRS service but when I go to the CR it turns to E which is really unlikely to be edge since there could be Edge in a low signal area as a CR and outside there would only be GPRS? got me thinking. I have no idea if my cellular service provider has edge nationwide, last I read about that we have none hereand it is only available in major cities then they stopped the news about edge since 3g is already being promoted. So in short, I could not verify if it has edge.

wasn't the silent option for the camera just a modification and not a stock phones feature?

and the volume is significantly louder than it was before. Though I don't want to turn it to maximum since I'm afraid it might break the phones speaker. (suppose it is another applied mod- optimized flex maybe or is it just a feature found on the new firmware?)

FINDINGS:
1. Still using China Mobile red theme..(arrggh!)
2. In category, User2 is no longer there..instead it was replaced by CMCC (dunno what that stands for)
in CMCC, there are Monternet, EzxMpkg, STK,Customer Service and ChinaMobile In
3. Preinstalled theme mgr,editorE,Tools,Gerald SC n Vibe, Keypad SMS,Usb mgr, Rockbox,MoneyManager,MFile etc
4. There is no P2P in Calls folder (useless for me!) Calls folder back to basic (Answered, Missed and Dialed)

dunno how to do it actually...extracted it but failed to flash..something about wrong header????

changed the ext from 7z to shx also didnt work..

Use 7zip or rar to extract the firmware please.

Did you realy have new BP and DSP now?
Maybe try flash with 50.AHP again?

You have downloaded it already, you need only find a way to flash it.
Because you tried the other v74 before, it could be that it could not flash this file. I would try to go back to 50.AHP and flash with HK generic v74.
Or did I get it wrong and you want a 50.AHP without china branding?
I have this one, and i think its Taiwan/Korea maybe it is Hong Kong i dont know.

sorry for the stupid question, but i'm desperate.. i've just flashed my a780 (european version) and gps on-off menu is not available anymore.. :'( i've tried installing other firmwares, but nothing changes.. (it was working fine before upgrading..)
do anybody know where could i get a firmware supporting gps? even if with bugs..
