just tried on my e680i and i think its working also...cool ...:P
but what does poduct support and Network(CDC) mode for?
This is a little program for checking and controlling the USB mode. Many other tools are available for doing this, but this one is different in two ways:It should be possible to use this application to get usblan and telnet access to an A780 with European firmware without using linloader, but I have no idea whether it works with the 0D.74 firmware or not. If anybody tries this, please report your findings.
- It is an EZX application. It functions and feels like every other application on the phone.
- It can be installed and run using only the built-in installer. Console access, transflash, and linloader are not required.
To install, just copy the .mpkg file to your phone, using whatever method, not limited to USB mass-storage mode, and invoke it from the file manager. A new icon will be created.
Disclaimer: This is a native application. As with any other native application, it might not work, might cause damage to your A780, etc.. I CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Update: Mass storage mode is a really dumb idea. Remove it.

Is also working on Motorola A780.
Tnx! Emzy
If you downloaded the first posted version, beware of mass storage mode. Switching to mass storage mode using this app can cause your /diska or TF filesystems to become corrupt. They need to be unmounted, and only the built-in mechanism supports that. I was stupid enough to leave that "feature" in the first version and have posted a new version that doesn't even offer it as an option.Originally Posted by intoxicated
Product support mode is the mode that P2K tools put the phone into. This mode supports SEEM editing and moto4lin/p2kman/pst will initiate a switch with AT+MODE=8.
CDC mode I do not understand myself. It has something to do with Belcara and is not the same as the usblan mode we use for telnet access.
it's working on my A780 with german A74 firmware.
great job, thx a lot!![]()
nice one samr7!
don't forget to strip the binaryalso source code would be very useful
Works with OD.74. Great job samr7! How do you enforce 192.168.1.2 as your address on the A780? Is that always the address or do you have to change it every you connect USBLAN mode?
on my A780 USBLAN mode work find.
but how can i switch to storage mode. i try product support but it goto install psudo and not found hardware driver.

When you enter USBLAN mode, you can access your files by browsing or mapping to the samba share on the phone.
evaldas: Strip the binary huh?Sources are attached. Questions should go in the development forum.
f0x0r: Glad to hear that it works. 192.168.1.1 is the address your phone will get when attached to a Linux machine with the usbnet driver. The Belcara Windows driver supposedly has a built-in DHCP server that is hard-coded to assign that other address to your phone.
