    Default Enable 850 Mhz

Has any one enabled the GSM 850Mhz band on the A1800 yet? I have read that it has one but I haven't been able turn it on on mine using P2k Tools or P2k Commander. Any help would be appreciated.

Well I have the 1800 and I am using it out of china.
I did not get a chance to play in details with it concerning the internet I'll tell you soon.
Concerning the sim card it's not blocked.
one slot is for CDMA one for GSM. (it would have been nice to be able to put both CDMA or both GSM)
from the configuration I see that you can choose using internet from CDMA or GSM.

I paid approx 700 USD. you can get it for about 500 but not in the official motorola distributor. it came together with a bluethooth, a car power adapter, an extra pen, 2 battery+ CD with motorola phone tools

Issues: the GPS soft is in chineese (but I am sure that's fixable)
apps from the A1200 don't work
can't connect to CDMA internet service only because the password feild only accepts numbers. and here the provider reqiers letters. (that's frustrating)
it isn't possible to put 2 gsm cards. only one GSM + one CDMA.

this is the very 1st impression... I realy did not play with it yet.
if you need more info or pictures don't hesitate.

Okay, thx for the info, So iguess i must buy ffrom not official phone shop then
where did you bought yours ?
    china or hong kong ?

and about the bluetooth, thats a bluetooth handsfree right ?
may i know the model number or picture of it ?

and no desktop cahrger is given ?

GPS i don't need that cause i use Garmin XT on my Nokia E90 but by the way from what i heard, they included asia map in the phone right ? and i live in Indonesia, maybe my country is included in the map :P and what you mean the GPS software is in chinese ? you mean in chinese langeauge or english language ?

So can't use the CDMA internet , but GSM is ok right ?

and this phone have dual stand by right ? so when i have a call in my GSM then someone call my CDMA, i can just answer it like in normal phone right ?

that's all soory for too many questions. and lastly if it's not troubling you, can you take a picture of the phone and all the accecries that included in the box ?
you know in china the shop like to cheat so i don;t want to get cheated, and very last question, the phone only come in 1 colour ? oor is there any other colour available ?
    thank you very much.

BTW i;m buying this phone cause in my country most people have 2 numbers 1 CDMA and 1 GSM, cdma is very cheap here but is not reliable, currently i have 2 GSM number and 1 CDMA number, and every day i must bring 3 phones
    Nokia e90
    nokia E51
    Nokia 6275i CDMA

i've tried several no name chinese dual on phone that support CDMA n GSM but none of them are good in quality,

so i'm planning to uy this A1800 instead

so i can carry 2 phone everyday

and actually this is not my first linux phone, i used E680i before so i should be quite familiar with it :P

    thx

    - I did not see other colors
    - Got it in Beijing
    - I assume you can use both GSM and CDMA internet. but the password only allows number (really frustrating)

you can receive calls on both CDMA and GSM. when you make a call you have to choose.

    thx.
