Call quality, it's ok.. but I believe the A1200 was better. (it's like there is an amplifier on the A1800.. maybe it makes it more susceptible to interference)
Ring tone can be very loud... much louder than the A1200.
I do have the choice of getting my money back... I'll wait a bit to see if some of the issues can be fixed.
My main problem is that I can't install new apps.

it does say Motorola on the cigarette lighter, as well as on the blue tooth adapter... (but this does not mean it is Motorola)

Yes it can be made full english (except for the GPS program. At least I did not see where we can switch to english)

press menu... select the last item in the combobox on the bottom. Chose the symbol with the gear. choose the 6th entry in the list and then the second symbol
