I was reading this an it does not say what it has for an OS.
according to Rami Levy at opensource.motorola.com is no Linux in A1800!
Contrary to what many web sites are reporting, and despite its similarity to other model names, according to engineering
the A1800 is not a Linux-based phone; it's a proprietary product. Therefore there will be no code releases for this
phone.

I got a MAN-UP lifestyle.
The screenshot of the guy switching to the CDMA technology show a Linux OS, but the other screenies look odd........
Seems it uses an own programming language. I think they are moving to what symbian is for nokia. An official own language for their phones.
EZX ROCKS!! jeee. Hope Motorola release the full COMPLETE source code for it.
Droopy
In Argentina
There will be a lot of phones moved to the Symbian platform now that Nokia is making it freely available. EZX would have been great, too bad Motorola decided to kill it by not releasing sources or SDK. Oh well, now they are feeling the pain. I'll continue using my A1200 but the outsides are really starting to get worn.
Hello,
Are you able to open thoses files :
http://data.mofan.mobi/Motolora/A1800/
I tried with no success with shxcodec, but perhaps I was doing it with a bad version... (266) it says the boring 'corrupt file headers' error message...
My hex editor just crash trying to opening those 200megs shx, so If someone know how to open these files with linux, (dd, vi, grep, or hum, I don't know) ... I'm interested.
Hey I knew A1200 as an Amiga, but A1800 ?????
Pfew, Moto rocks![]()
Say developer, but it's so hard!
I'm actually extracting the first file with SBF recalc, it's easy and it seems to work...
Ok done, now I have more than 200 CG's in .SMG format...
One is named RSA signature... but all the shit is about 1gig, make sure you have the required space on your disk...
