We all now the A1800 is now for sale in china. but what about the A1600

After being disappointed about the A1800 specs (basically because it has no Wifi) I am worried that motorola will not release the A1600 in the short run.... any thoughts about that?

you would THINK that the a1600 would be in the line-up as a mid-level, well spec'd phone and the a1800 would be the HIGH-end full spec phone, but for some reason Motorola doesn't do things this way (wierd). it LOOKS as though the a1600 will be still born and the a1800 under-spec'd...although with all of the goings on @ motorola, you never know.....

WOW! i thats alot of money,for a phone that has almost the same stuff as the a1200. I'll wait till the price drops a little or maybe nodramachicks could sell some car parts from the benz an buy me one lol....

a1800 is for a different target market, as I understand it supports 2x GSM SIM cards plus the CDMA bands. if you're looking for GPS + WiFi, get the a1600. if you want multiple SIMs plus CDMA+GSM, get the a1800.

that sounds about right. US dollar has been getting weaker against the yuan renminbi as of late.

IIRC the a1200 was about 6000 rmb when initially released around Dec 2005, about $850. prices have really dropped since then, but i guess there's not too much ground breaking technology in the a1600 so it's not a surprise.

It supports a 4GB TFlash which is a plus,but i dont read about it having Wifi which is big now a days. It has gif animation shots which is cool an a few other things which are new. But the case on the a1600 i never liked looks like a toy. The a1800 looks more like my a1200 an i luv my a1200. Ill still get one of each but i dont think its worth 550 bucks. Maybe the a1800 will be about 800 bucks an no way would i pay that kind of money for those specs.

Actually based on the specs on the moto site, it supports 16GB TF, and doesnt have wifi or 3g
