I just tried the "Amaze" soft on my a1600;
It's working but little buggy, goto http://www.amazegps.com and download the Nokia N95 version because it has an internal GPS option. if you have problems with touch screen try to install A1200 version first and then update it with N95 version.
PS: It needs a GPRS connection also, if anyone can suggest the offline maps please do.
Cheers

I tried amazegps on ming a1600 and it didnt work. how do u get the internal gps to work with amaze. I downloaded the n95 version but i dont see on option fo internal gps
Yesterday I saw that there is a Motorola GPS unit with Motonav - sold in the USA. Any chance this is Linux, and if so, does anyone think the maps could be ported over to the A1600?
@tonytee
U don't need to set it, it's by default. anyway you don't have any other choice! because N95 has an internal GPS

@PooSad
on your phon Amaze has access to A1600's internal GPS device?
Can you please post what firmware you have?
Thanks
I can't remember but it was 61.21 generic or 60.56.
however this is my trick:
1-turn on GPS
2-run MOTONAV
3-wait for the signal
4-open AMAZE
--- it freezes many times during working!
Cheers
