A1600: Counterfeit vs. Real comparison

Ok, so from the discussion in my "crippled software" thread, here are the promised photos. All photos are named as to what they are and which one is the fake.

To those of you who haven't read that thread, basically I bought an A1600 off of ebay from China, it arrived, the software was definitely not right, I realized the entire phone was counterfeit, I ordered another off the internet, and it was real. Here is the comparison.

The photos aren't that good quality - I had poor lighting and a mediocre camera. But you can get the idea.

Some basic differences before you check the photos, though:

- The plasic color was more "purpleish"
- The fake was lighter
- The fake plastic was not well molded
- The fake's charge flap did not have the piece that fits into the USB slot
- The fake's battery was a fake BC50 (it "bowed" in the middle, and the holograms were not convincing), not BK60
- The fake's USB charger and USB PC cable did not have the hologram sticker on the end
- The fake had a Kingston SD card, the real had a Sandisk
- The fake software was completely different - it had a "Stylemoto" splash screen, followed by the "hello moto", followed by the fake software
- The fake said "A1600" where the real says "aGPS" (on the inside hinge)
- The fake charger had a US style wall plug - the real is Chinese and came with an adaptor.

I took a look through the photos. I looks like a pretty good fake. What did you end up doing with it? Get your $$ back?

After reporting the seller to Motorola & Paypal, I reluctantly sent it back per Paypal's "promise" to give me my money back. I have yet to see it.

I might have bought a counterfeit from ebay, so can anyone post the close up photos of real Motorola A1600 from various angles? and Photos of the real A1600 charaacteristic feautures mentioned by the OP? Thanks.
