List of Successfully tested applications of A1200 on A1600

This is a list of A1200 applications that i ve tested so far and are running without any probs on A1600.

• smartassist
• Quick notes
• Mini Word
• Mini Excel
• start menu
• skin and splash installer 2.4 by earkin (thanks!! earkin)
• ecap - Screen capture
• Winamp 3.3

I shall keep updating this list as i continue testing.

Along with this I shall also publish a list of apps which have some bug when running on A1600.

Applications with bugs

• Fox Alarm - Probably font cannot be recognized, all text is junk
• Flip - Phone hangs after use with GPS (need someone to test further)

Applications I had no problems with:

econsole
SysInfo
Tab manager
start menu
Runscript
yans startupscripts

Noticed bugs:
SmartAssistant
making backups takes a lot of time, but doesn't do anything. Maybe its because I have already an backup-folder on my sd-card. Didn't test it. But other things are working without problems (didn't try the packing-features).
Multifile manager
Runs fine. But I can't turn off the sound that appears when Im clicking on the touch screen (no problem but annoying, when Im in the tram or something). Seems not to have the permission to change something on the phone. Can copy everything. But renaming, deleting or adding only works on sd-card. No errors occurring
Turbo:
Im not able to create swap-files (but no errors. Everytime says it worked). I think its because there are missing some linux-commands (maybe its possible to add them. I will try that out)
Dosbox
Is working. But the mouse-driver in windows 3.1 isn't working correctly. The mouse is not an the same position as the stick is (is very difficult to use with the mouse. Its impossible to play games because of that)
MLauncher
Works fine. But the same problem with dos-box and swap-files. MLauncher is able to create the swap-Files, but they are disabled and it doesn't enable it (no errors. Says that it was turned on, but the console says that there are some problems with "cut". The missing linux-command?)

For the »mooding« topic that one day probably will be opened in this sub forum is maybe interesting to know that the solution for the A1200 mentioned here: Under the Topic "E" is working on the A1600 too. Till now it is the only one that I've needed.

The only thing that is simplified is that you don't need to do all the procedures with the copy paste and replace the last 6 lines but only change the 1 to 0 (shortcut_1_freeze = 1 will be shortcut_1_freeze = 0 and the same for the 2). And you can use the WordPad – tested.

Moto Assist is having a app embaded for changing boot image. I took a big risk and tried to change boot image. My phone was dead. So I removed boot screen app from Moto Assist. Rest other apps are working really great. I didn't try Skin and splash installer apps.
