    what`s the best firmware for a1600
    my firmware is R542_G_11.61.24R_11.61.24R
    is there any newer version?

    i thought a1600 has better cpu like arm11 or something
    but it has the same cpu with a1200 (pxa270) with same clock 300mhz and overclock.pkg working fine
    it`s real faster than a1200 anyway
    a1600 is a1200 with real better lcd , 3.2mp camera and flash , gps ,better battery , better usb interface (4MB/sec data transfer )and SDHC support(i tested 8gb)
    all things that i waned
    a1200 MatraxBench score is 720 and with overclock 830
    a1600 MatraxBench score is 900 and with overclock 1040

    there is no way to make backup from a1600 yet , but you can flash with this
    it`s newer than yours

    That is CM branded 53P

    I'm currently testing the modified yan0 vetsion of this. I was looking for a fw that executes startup.txt scripts and found it on ccmove.

    I addet spanish/french/portuguese language from A1200, threw out chinese and made some debranding.

    The one I'm running has german modified english EMEA keyboard with äöü-umlaute and additional board for accented letters (éýá...)

    Very nice for now I'll post it and a version with unmodded english emea keyboard soon.

    I'm not a developer, only can add what already exists somewhere and do a little modding

    I cannot make language files and never heared there are persian or arabic language files for ezx phones, sorry.

    What do you need the backup for? It's possible to dump most of the fw from the phone and use it for other fw. But you cannot flash it back to the phone as it is
    That's how I made debranding. Took icons/skins/.. from my generic 50P (that was on the phone when I bought it) and used it for modding yan0's CM branded 53P.

    why do i need to backup? because i have the firmware that it`s not exist for download , and i want to test other firmwares
    my current a1600 firmware is totally non chines and without chines font
