I have the same problem using the USB cable but I'm having no problem at all using the Bluetooth to connect sync with Outlook and LotusNote thru MPT. You can give a try using bluetooth.
yea i need help with that too, i had the razr v3 and it would connect and work but for some reason it is not able to connect to my ming a1200, it keep saying it cannot install. My MPT work with the razr but doesn't work with the ming, it can read the mass storage device, and i put it in modem when i plug it in but still don't work. i also updated it to before with the razr but still don't work anyone have any idea.
What version do you have?

I'm having a very similar problem, in fact the exact same problem, but on multiple computers (4 computers now) i've installed the MPT and installed the live update.
It WAS working completely fine awhile ago, just can't think of the reason it would suddenly stop.
using XP pro on all the computers....
hmmm, a thought just occured to me, what firmware is in your guys phones? I updated to the 46p and can't quite recall if i conntected to MPT after the new firmware, i'm pretty sure i COULD, but it may have been prior.
Grrr Baby Roar!
im running the 06p firmware, try to find another version of mpt's and see if that will fix it. But remember to delete any trace of your current version

hey
I can't seem to get my MPT to reconize my A1200 either... It worked with my V360 and also with my A1200, previously. I got my contacts synced and everything...
But i, too just upgraded my A1200 to 46P, and can't seem to get the MPT to recognize it.
I also reinstalled MPT using the disc that came W/ the A1200 over the one that was installed with the V360. I've tried switching USB ports also. Let me restart my comp and see what happens...i will update shortly.
ok i restarted my computer and still can't get MPT to recognize it...
ANY SUGGESTIONS? THANX IN ADVANCE

UPDATE:
I "installed" the A1200 in MPT manually, and the little miniture picture of the handset appears in the lower right of my laptop screen, but it just sits and says "Initializing...Please Wait.....
it's been like this for twenty minutes..... I really need my contacts back....
thanx in advance for any input guys...
