UNLOCKING OUR MINGS - POST INFO HERE

In order for one to unlock any phone, one must contact their carrier and say something like "I'm traveling out of country, and plan on using a prepaid sim, may i have the subsidy passcode for my mobile?" (it may take several calls to get an agent willing to divulge that information). Then to remove the simlock, one simply inserts a sim from a different provider, enters the passcode and viola! Phone unlocked. . Unfortunately, right now, there is no 'magic flash' like that of RAZR that will unlock via flash. OR one could shell out 299$ USD for a ultmate box! lol. Another option would be via testpoint; If you are into surgery... lol

we should do something about this...approach the company may be(although i doubt that will work)

i think carrier must fall fr that.. or they can say "we have given u A1200 for such nominal rate so that u can buy other phn for travlin: he he"....

Well i would say about 95% of our members have unlocked A1200 phones. And imahottguy pretty much said the only way to unlock it..

hmm now that i think about it.. there might be one way.. but its very dangerous. Ill try it out later after i finish my projects for you guys.

I use the phone's original carrier (Brasil Telecom GSM) so it is no problem for me.
But i started to think about it when somebody here (don't remember who) said me that after flash my phone it'll be unlocked, and i tested it and it didn't worked...
Now i want to sell it to buy an E6... and it'll be easier with an unlocked one...
Is this kind of subjetc forbidden here? If yes, tell me, coz i don't knew that (and please don't ban me again, hahahaha (just kiddin')

In stores (A1200i), BRL1300-1500 inc all types of taxes (USD 650-750). I paid BRL1499 (paid in 3 times, hehe) for mine in FNAC, and FNAC in Brazil is an expensive store.

Via MercadoLivre (associated with eBay, hehe), you can get A1200 much cheaper - BRL800-1000 (USD 400-500)

I bought mine for US$400,00 here in my town (BR one A1200i, not imported) three months ago... i wanna sell it to buy an E6!
