Need help with getting startup.txt files to work

Okay, I've tried, tried again and even tried a third time, but no matter what I do, I can't get startup.txt files to work for loading fonts, doing the DST fix that Mischka suggested, etc.

I have MyStuff installed, but still can not get the startup.txt file to run when the phone starts.

Is there anything else I should be doing? I'd really like to be able to use the DST fix, and the fonts would just be kind of fun.
