INFO: How to turn on India Tower info Display

Dont know whether u people know it or not..or whether its been posted before ...
But there is a way to switch oooon Tower Display info on ur phone....
I Just found it........and u dont need to mod ur phone.......
Pls scrap back if u interested.....

its channel 50 in india for motorola devices to get location info. , works as a gps device,but consumes battery too...

Just found it........and u dont need to mod ur phone.......
I am using Airtel and m in Bangalore.....
I faced this problem with my previous phone Moto Razr too...but cud not find solution and none of those people sittting in MotoRazr community helped me out....

For Airtel Karnataka...i guess so .....all u need to do is ...
Go to Messages ->use the menu there-> service setup ->Info Services...

there u will find Info Service Setup

Switch Service to On

And the select Active channel -> Delete any channel u have bec its of no damn use ......

Create a new channel with value 50

save & exit ...u may have to restart phone..but i didnt need to ....
and Enjoy....

If it works thank..me....and scrap me the feedback

(Also hutch users can do same and try it)
I guess it will work because i tried it with a friends hutch postpaid sim for all u hutch guys....

......and just wanted to tell u incase ......the guy who posted tht value ....i mean starbearer(no offences) just wanted to tell u .....i found it while searching on a low end motorola phone only......and tht happened night before u posted ur msg////////////////

but wht ever ......i love this site ..it has helped me gain lot of info...............abt motorola....
but still cant get my new baby to go for modding .......as i m scared...........................

My phone is new.....i m scared for its touch creen ...hence not removed its plastic cover sticker type thing which was there when it came ..but its got scratches....(i mean the plastic cover).......now i wanna remove it...but think removing it will scratch my screen too...help me....Any alternates...(specially if in india)

Also if some alteranete for svaing tht....Plastic lid from scrathes...i sure gonna hate them...........

Life should be fun, and fun is being sometime implosive or taken risks..
A phone is to be used and not to be kept as a souvenir !
I got my phone already 4 months, and there is no scratch on the screen and the lid is full of them, so what...enjoy it now before this phone runs it course and a new replacement is out there (I mod my phone numerous time).
