    noooooo

the software is online mapping....but if you read in the news page of the site, they have made a perl script to download the maps from googlemaps in the desktop and then put it on the phone to use offline..
you need to follow the instructions in their forum...

hey !! this a very good news !!

MGMAPS is working in my phone , but even with GPRS + Bluetooth GPS the GPS doesn't work at all.
I don't know why. I just can't pair the bluetooth GPS (a Holux GPSlim236) inside the MGMAPS application. In the bluetooth area for the A1200 it works fine.
I can even use trekbuddy and other gps application, but MGMAPS I don't know what is happening...

    Hope to find soon.

And hope to have offline maps running soon, because so far official version only support GPRS maps.

    Regards.

can I ask, what version did you get? (I don't see an option for the A1200). Also, what if you want to get directions? Does it need to get online to do that?

    Michalack,

Do you know how to setup trekbuddy on the ming ?

I have installed it and it works. I have created my maps with the Garmin Maps and a Map Editor.

But I just can't give the proper configuration to load the maps.

I'm using Trekbuddy v0.9.56 with a Holux GPS and it pair nice. I just need to know how to setup the maps to be loaded. Did you do anything special?

I can run Trekbuddy and go to the lower left Menu -> Settins , and in this screen it asks for STARTUP MAP. How do you input the address? I tried many things , such as //mmc/mmca1/Apps/Trekbuddy/Map/ which is where my map is located , inside Transflash/Apps/Trekbuddy/Map/ . Is that right? I tried so many things but none worked at all. So I just can't load any map.

If anyone can give me a hint, because when I try to startup application all I get is :
    "Map init
    cz.kruch.track.maps.InvalidMapExce
    Invalid map URL "//mmc/mmca1/Apps"

If I can have this running in my A1200 (firmware 48P) I can help you guys interested. I have all the software needed to prepare the maps and also some websites where to get the maps for free and prepare for trekbuddy.

So far Destinator is still unknown.

    Phenomenon,

Which software are you talking about ? Because Destinator is available here in the forum for download. Also, if you are talking about MGMaps it is just the generic version. If you are talking about Trekbuddy, there is only 1 version.

    Regards,
