  1. Default Is Opera Mini better than built-in Opera Browser ?

Help->About of the browser application that came with my A1200 says it is Opera built for Motorola. I'm guessing it is native linux binary.
Opera Mini on the other hand is Java App.

    Question to you all:
Is Opera Mini better than build-in opera ?

    Thanks,

I'm not sure I understand your reply. Built-in Opera came with the phone, so there was no cost there. I think Opera Mini is also free (Correct ?)
So how can I save cost if I use Opera Mini ?

He said that because opera mini works differently from a normal browser. Mini connect to opera server and download the webpage highly compressed, and formatted specially for mini screens.. The images are also compressed and downscaled for minimal size, that way you have to transfer less data thru your gprs connection and spend less money

I don't know how the default opera browser in the a1200 work because my phone are still a few miles away from me, but thats probably your answer.

It shouldnt, Also opera mini seems to be faster then the built in browser. So i recommend it.

I can confirm that it does not clash. I have both installed on my A1200 right now. Opera mini is much more polished app.

Since I have only limited GPRS, I don't have much use of Opera mini. My service provided restricts the pages I can view. But is is "free" GPRS access, so I am OK.

Hi, I am in a problem...
Once i was downloading a 4 mB file directly on the tranflash from in built OPERA and near the end i got the message that memory is full, and download was paused. So i had to close the browser and found that 3.8MB of that file was copied into the flash..and phone mem was back to about 4 MB free, As 3.8MB was of no use i deleted it..And now whenever i open the browser it flashes a dialog to continue old download, if i tap on anything except cancel the application suddenly gets closed...
The prob is when i use mini and try to download any thing it passes the link/ download task to the in built opera.. and the same dialog appears. I AM NOT ABLE TO DOWNLOAD ANYTHING NOW
By the way Opera mini 3.0 is really good with adv security, allows to log into ORKUT ...
