wow 400kbs? does it play smooth? I use 200kb at 25 frames. but i thought that was the limit until it skips frames.. im at the office right now but i will put it on the phone later tonight to check it out. Thanks for the share.

well the thing is i used to try n tweak video settings on my razr when i was puttin movies on it n i was gettin like 400kbps n 12 fps for bout 10 - 11 mins on an ultra 2 micro sd b4 it started skippn so i used 200kpbs 12 fps n audio was 90 kbps n 44 khz n it workd.... so i kno the a1200 processor is bigger n better so i jus figured id try higher settings n it works.... @ 200kpbs the actions scenes explode a lil bit..... u may find it skips a lil but it all depends on the movies u puttin on it.......

what program do you use to convert?

im runnin the new mac book pro n im usin handbrake to rip from dvd to mp4 or avi.. n if i have a file already on the comp i use either quicktime pro or ffmpegx to convert..... i also use OSex to rip to a vob file n use ffmpegx to convert but thats only if i have a stubborn dvd

thanks for the info.... Last question what audio quality are you encoding for the video. So far i see you use 320x240 at 400kb at 24 frames. Now what about audio.

im usin AAC @ 80 or 90 kbps @ 44khz

im got this comedy dvd that i like one particular comedian so imma rip that from the disc n imma try n push

1000kbps @ 25fps

to see if it works with out dropping frames... mind u his performance is only like 5-7 mins but i wanna see if it can be done..
ill post the final setings n skit once im done

Well i cant seem to get 400kb's to play smooth on my phone. It does skip from time to time, I have set it to 300kb and that seems to be okay.. I will check out more tests.
