I cant connect a1200 to computer

When I plug in the phone to computer useing usb it says usb not recognized one of the usb devises attached to this computer has malfunction and windows does not recognize it . I have xp some one please help me thanks one more thing doesnt charge phone

What mode is your usb settings on from within the phone? Also do you have a memory card in?

its on modem and i have a 1g memory card in

You have to set it to USB storage mode so that the computer can recognize it as removable storage device.

I tried usb storage mode does same thing keep saying device unknown could i be the only one having this problem just my luck i have a lemon

try a different usb port while the settings are on mass storage mode.. maybe its your port.

I tried all three and I know they work because I use the wireless mouse threw one port I cant believe this I can only use this phone two make phone calls its like being married and cant get any "DAMN"

something is wrong... i would buy another card... or ask a friend who might have one to check to see if maybe its your card. I doubt its the phone. I believe the problem might be the actual card itself.
