Appareantly after a succesful upgrade of firmware your seems stay edited as i found out yesterday with my rokr e2 i can say its the same for a1200.

but well going on with the guide ....

I hope you guys like it

1.-First Step what you wanna do is first get Radiocom. And install it
2.-go to connections on ur cellphone and select usb net
3.- connect to pc if it doesn’t automatically find the drivers search x:/program files/common files/Motorola shared/Motorola pcs drivers or something like that and select the folder named usblan and install driver.
4.-open radiocomm and then go to setting tcpip and mlink usb lan driver

5.- here comes the tricky part
6.- In the Picture in number 1 is the offset and 2 is record number 1 so that World be seem 0032_0001
    7.-Press RDELEM
8.-Below that on the DATA you will get a hex code which you should copy.

    Xvi32
3rd part editing your sem. File with xvi32
9.-Open xvi32 and create new file
10.-go edit > clipboard> paste hex from clipboard
11.- there you go seem 32 ready to be edited

12.- g oto offset 50 and then g oto tools > bit manipulating
13.- on the new tick number 0

14.- were almost done, now copy all that big hex code
15.- paste it on radiocomm on data where u previously took it from
16.-Now on length type as picture says
17.- STELEM and there you go you uploaded the seem to your phone

This seem edit made here is to enable 850 band but use it the same way to enable any other seem happy modding
    Seems that work:
    Engineering Menu works
Browser Charge before browsing on and off
850 band shows up in menu no idea if it does work but if u also seem edit seem 25 you might enable it
I'm sorry... but I just don't understand ANY of this!

    I need some help please.

Is the example given in the "seem edit guide" for some particular seem edit?

Or are each of the steps what you need to do for EVERY seem edit?

First... I can't find how to change my A1200 to "select usb net".

    Second... I get lost here:

5.- here comes the tricky part
6.- In the Picture in number 1 is the offset and 2 is record number 1 so that World be seem 0032_0001
    7.-Press RDELEM
8.-Below that on the DATA you will get a hex code which you should copy.
    What are you talking about?

What does this mean... "the offset and 2 is record number 1 so that World be seem 0032_0001"...???

Then this part has me TOTALLY lost:

    What or where is..."xvi32"...???

I realize that there are some language barriers on this messageboard... but believe me...

If you've never had ANY experience doing any of this before...
NONE of that makes ANY sense.

I tried to just copy the settings to fix the Voicemail problem of sending a blank text message by just connecting my phone and doing these steps...

    • Voice mail bug fix

    Element ID:0032
    record #:0001
    offset: 0002
    length:0001

    Click on RDELEM
Change DATA to :8B or 8b ( Test which one works for you)
    Click on STELEM

But nothing happens after I hit STELEM, and all the data etc. is in RED.

Could someone please explain if this "guide" is for seem editing a specific type of seem edit... or if it's the general way you do ALL seem edits, and I have to do each one of those steps for every type of seem edit just the way it's written...

Also please explain how to get my A1200 into "usb net"...

And what does that whole ..."xvi32" part refer to...?

    I'm TOTALLY lost here!

    Thanks!
