I already checked that but it doesnt work. You see, We only have one provider in my country (Costa Rica) and they first got out some cell phone lines with a blue SIM card, they bought it from another company. Then they bought more lines but this time with a Pink SIM Card. I have the blue SIM card and the strange thing is that my sms would work if I use a pink SIM card from another friend! I guess theres must be something in those lines or I dont know. This happened to me with my V3 razr but I fixed by copying the 0032_001 SEEM of a friend to my phone, but know I dont know anyone with an A1200 around here! I guess I would need to find out wich offset does the trick.

Have you really checked the sms service number? because these come stored on the sim cards and from what you say I guess that the blue sim card has the incorrect number or a number that has been changed by the network. So check the sms service number present on your friend's phone that allow sms to be sent.

Yes, I have checked the service center number and it is correct. When I change it in the SMS configuration menu and hit the saved button , the phone gets stuck or freezes and no matter how much time I wait it nver changes until I close the phone or restart it, so maybe the service number is not getting saved. the strange thing is that I can put my SIM card in another phone and it does work! Also I

When you use your sim card in another phone, can you check if the sms service number is correct in the settings of that phone? and if it's not try to change it to be like the one in the pink sim card and save it in that phone before trying it in the A1200 again.

Appareantly after a succesful upgrade of firmware your seems stay edited as i found out yesterday with my rokr e2 i can say its the same for a1200.

but well going on with the guide ....

I hope you guys like it

1.-First Step what you wanna do is first get Radiocom. And install it
2.-go to connections on ur cellphone and select usb net
3.- connect to pc if it doesn’t automatically find the drivers search x:/program files/common files/Motorola shared/Motorola pcs drivers or something like that and select the folder named usblan and install driver.
4.-open radiocomm and then go to setting tcpip and mlink usb lan driver

5.- here comes the tricky part
6.- In the Picture in number 1 is the offset and 2 is record number 1 so that World be seem 0032_0001
    7.-Press RDELEM
8.-Below that on the DATA you will get a hex code which you should copy.

    Xvi32
3rd part editing your sem. File with xvi32
9.-Open xvi32 and create new file
10.-go edit > clipboard> paste hex from clipboard
11.- there you go seem 32 ready to be edited

12.- g oto offset 50 and then g oto tools > bit manipulating
13.- on the new tick number 0

14.- were almost done, now copy all that big hex code
15.- paste it on radiocomm on data where u previously took it from
16.-Now on length type as picture says
17.- STELEM and there you go you uploaded the seem to your phone

This seem edit made here is to enable 850 band but use it the same way to enable any other seem happy modding
    Seems that work:
    Engineering Menu works
Browser Charge before browsing on and off
850 band shows up in menu no idea if it does work but if u also seem edit seem 25 you might enable it
SOOOO frustrated! i followed your instructions and got the results as listed but what i want to do is the flip closed seem edit and some of the others in the guide to modding sticky....when i xvi32 there IS NO element 8a just 8, if i open bit manipulate do i still check 0? it seems that your instructions and what's in the sticky clash.....HELLLLPPPPPPPPPP....anyone LOL

Hello everyone. I've been using radiocomm 11.3.2 to attempt to fix the blank msg and clock issue with my a1200 but when I connect my phone radiocomm shows a blue status light. I run the script and get the following error message.

Sending 'RDELEM' command with data '0032000100000001' to the radio...
    Sent to radio:
    TC Send Header: 0000002000080000
    TC Send Data: 0032000100000001

    Returned from radio:
    TC Receive Header:
    TC Receive Data:

    RDELEM ==>FAILED
    Driver answer ==> 267
Error Description ==> Failed attempt to send test command, Test Command Interface is not present.
Time to execute command: 0 seconds.
Command timeout set to : 15 seconds.

I've tried turning the phone off and back on and a couple of other things that have been suggested here but with no luck. Is there something you guys can think of that I might have missed?

grolsch81, the problem is not the SMS service number, it something related to the SEEM configuration, in VXXX phones and other Motorola phones it just changing the 0032 seem, but Seem editing doesn't work the same in E6/A1200...

You must download and check another version of the Flash of the phone, one that don't have the problem, I have one E6 and I'm using R533_G_11.12_09p, with spanish language... I can send and receive sms and use GPRS... just try to install another flash...

The only big problem I have whit my actual flash is that the sms comes like +50688888888 and the call comes as 88888888, whit out area code and the phone take it as two different numbers...
