Yip. Thats helps. I'll let you know what I come up with. I have something that I'm working on right now.
Where and when did you get your phone? Was it branded or unbranded?
I'm doing EXACTLY what you say to do at the top of this thread. I'm using RSD Lite 2.7 in case that matters.
Also, I tried using a differnt USB port the second time, and the result was the same.
Basicly I go through steps 1 -6 on your instruction list, and never get to step 7.
As for messages, all it gives me is what I mentioned above. You know that stuff about the "super-file". Basicly it seems to go through the entire flash process, with various steps being taken within RSD, and when it get's to the last step, and reaches 100%, it lingers there for a few seconds and brings up that error message with the Super-File.
Hope that helps...let me know if you need any more info...

I got the phone a few days ago from a friend of mine who is a cell-phone dealer here in NYC. Often times he gets his hands on european/asian phones.
The phone is not branded...it's completely motorola. All of the menus show no signs of branding by China Telecom or any other company. Same thing goes for the case - only Motorla emblems all around. Also, the phone came unlocked.
Let me know what you come up with. I'd love to get rid of those blank messages from VM.
On an unrelated issue, do you get a voicemail notification icon on your phone? I don't seem to see any VM icon on my phone when I have a VM. The only way for me to tell I have a VM is that blank message I get. Just curious...
Yes, I get notification of VM.
Very Strange.
Who's your provider? I'm on T-Mobile.
I haven't been on T-mobile for over a year, but when I was I remember that they did not have a VM icon on any of their phones. They would instead send out an SMS message that would tell you that there's a VM.
Maybe it's still like that, and that's why I don't see any VM icon.
Im on T-Mo also.
BTW - We did a test and even though your firmware is on a different track (H2), there is no issue with cross compatibility of H2 series firmware vs. xxp firmware.
So in other words, I dont know WHATS going on with your phone. Buster...check your PM. Im going to send you the 46p that I have...lets see if that helps.

In any event, If you don't mind I'd like to try out the firmware you sent me tomorrow morning. I've got all of the software and all my backups on my office PC and would like to do it there.
Will you be around tomorrow?
