INFO: How to fix Realplayer playlist song limit

I thought there was no song limit for this phone?

It's a limit in the Realplayer software for the number of songs in a single playlist, the default is 50. You can have multiple playlists but if you just want to put all your songs on random or want more then 50 songs on 1 playlist you need to do the mod. Or you could use other software like the zmplayer.

Try deleting both the files in the setup directory then run the script to copy over the new one.

I deleted both .cfg files. Ran the script and check to verify it was moved the correct directory. I run Real player but it still has the 50 song limit. I go back to that directory and there is now two .cfg files.

Any ideas?

Hmm, maybe try restarting the phone before running realplayer. After deleting the file and running the script though. I'm just learning as I go here if it sounds like I don't know what I'm talking about.

The odd thing is the .cfg file with the raised limit will not open once i transfer to the new directory. While it is on my transflash card, i can open it and view it.

I still cannot get it to work.

The modifiied .cfg file gets corrupted somehow when I transfer it from my transflash to my phone.

When the modified .cfg file is on my transflash I can access it and view the contents but once I run the script to transfer it to my phone, I cannot access it and view it.

Ahhh, I see. Should have mine tomorrow to figure all this stuff out for myself

Sorry deadlysyns I don't know what the problem is. Hopefully someone that is a little more knowledgable will step in and offer an opinion on what might be happening. Maybe its the script thats screwing up the file. You can't use telnet?

I cant get pass the part to change the USB-modem. I pull up the HyperTerminal but I am not sure where to type the command at+mode=13 to change the phone setting. How and where do I type the command in?

I have tried installing EditorE and ezxlocal editor 1.03 on my phone. The ezxlocal editor 1.03 will not run on the A1200. The EditorE program wont open the .cfg file for me to edit.

Yeah those programs haven't been ported to the a1200 yet. As for Telneting, if you install Bragon's app from the sticky on telneting it will put the phone into motnet(at+mode=13) mode for you. At least it does for me.
