Default One too many steps to make a call

Is it just me or am I just too damn lazy? Too make a call from a phonebook, there is one too many steps involved in my opinion. i.e once in phonebook, you select the person, then you tap on the number required, then you tap on 'call' to initiate a call. The last step should be eliminated!

u click the number, it will appear on the dial, then click call.

Get used to it and its no hassle. How much hassle can be more than using 2 hands to type sms? I've lived with it for 2 years and i'm used to it now.

This sounds like a pretty common thing with pda phones. My first handspring product was the same. My wife just got a qtek(cingular8125) and hers is the same except on that last click you can chose whether to text or dial number. I haven't recieved my a1200 yet, so I cannot compare the two.

it IS a hassle and i've complained about it before...here are the steps:

    1) pressing the call button results in a menu option of Answered/Missed/Dialed (a step that SHOULD be removed and just bring up a list of recent calls made/answered/missed in chronological order)

    2) find the call and select it (NO, pressing the Call button does not automatically call it, it'll bring you to another screen where you still have to press the Call button)

    3) press the call button

there's been so many times i've gotten to step two and immediately placed the phone by my ear...i'd wait for some time and realize i wasn't hearing any ringing or anything only to find out that i still needed to press the call button...i guess it's a "feature" so that you can view the information of that call but to most people it's a waste of time

My i-Mate Jam works the same, though like someone else said, if you hit the "call" button the call is initiated from the contacts screen. The only problem is if you want to sellect from 2 or more numbers, only the first one is dialed the "quick" way. Like stumpeyejoe, I'm still waiting for my A1200.

Live with it. Don't be such a spoiled kid. There are many more important issues to complain about, such as 'how come a Linux phone is not designed to install native Linux applications' ...
Development of EZX-SysInfo / SysEdit application is completed! Version 0.1 Beta 2 is out. Check out in 'Bounty Projects' forum.

Yip mine is the same way. I find my contact, open it up and tap the # and it calls it right away.

Maybe some of you guys have your phone book setup differently? I have mine in "thumbnail" look. Where it shows all the pics. I tap on the pics/name I want, and tap the # and it calls right out.
