Leather case and car charger available?

I don't get my phone till friday so I'm not sure what the package contains. But they did say there is no cellphone case that comes with it, just screen protection. Are there any leather cases out or any kind of other protection's? and what about the car charger?

as for car charger, i once found a car-plug to USB convertor. since the a1200 is suppose to be able to get electricity from a USB port...

I said 'suppose' becuase I found that if the battery is not totally discharged, the phone will indicate it is charging when plugged to USB. I'm unable to verify if it is really charging. However once I got my battery discharged fully, I plugged my phone to the same port with the same cable, nothing happened

What accessories are available for this phone? gosh I can't wait to get it. Then I won't be asking so many questions hehe.

what kind of accessories you have in mind? i don't see any 3rd party accessories specially for the A1200 yet, but the package (the one availble in Hong Kong at least...) contains all i need for now. The most noteworthy ones are screen protector, stereo earphone, battery charger and the extra battery.

as for carrying case, there are generic ones which the a1200 can fit in. but the phone is so hard to scrach i just put it in my pocket

V3 RAZR mini usb car charger should work.
I bought one just a week ago and tried charging for about 10min and worked fine.
I know 10min is not a significantly long time for charging but it should ok.
I'll try to connect it for a longer time and let you know.

According to the Wiki at http://wiki.OpenEZX.org the Motorola A780 which also uses a MiniUSB cable for charging has two known modes of charging that the 明 might also have.

1. Battery is completely discharged, can only charge with USB charger, can't use computer cable.

2. Battery has some charge, can charge from computer cable or USB charger.

If the 明 is indeed like the A780 what this means is that if you use a 3rd party USB charger it needs to do the Motorola "magic" to be recognized as a USB charger for your 明 to charge from it if you run your 明 flat.

I have used both a V600 horizontal Leather case I picked up in HKG and a Motorola e815 horizontal leather case I got off eBay. I prefer the e815 case but the V600 case is snugger.

My sister claims there are snap on covers for the 明 available in China now, but I haven't confirmed this yet.

I hope my package contains an extra battery! and what do u mean the phone is hard to scratch? Are you sure? because my job requires heavy labour and lifting and crawling around. Not office work. I don't wanna scratch it and make it all ugly and old looking like my current cellphone LOL plus it's been dropped and abused haha My Sony Ericsson Z600 is so ugly now. Are there any silicon cases for this phone? Also what's the best bluetooth headset? So far I only see the Motorola HS850. Anyone have this? Does it work with the A1200?

The plastic flip cover/earpiece is sturdy, but probably not industrial strength.
A gouge would look pretty bad, IMHO, especially with the cover closed and the screen on...

The 明 seems to be selling well in China, so I expect we'll start to see 3rd-party covers hitting the marketplace soon(ish). A big leather case does appear to be included in some of the packages, but there is nothing particularly ergonomic about it.

It'll be interesting to see how 3rd-party covers/cases address the clear flip cover.

My 明, bought here in Shanghai was very hard to find in black. Had to go
to biggest cybermall in town. It is co-branded with China Mobile and came with two batteries and a cheap looking travel charger I haven't tried and
don't think I will use. The place we got it had all the Moto signage and certificates and I think it's a certified non-fake. No problems so far - after about a month. It came with fairly sturdy belt loop case with Moto logo and magnetic closure that's very easy for pickpocket access. I lost my Razr this way and now take this one off my belt when on subway or crowded streets.
