Thread: Possible solution for phonos killed by a theme WITHOUT FLASHING

    Default Possible solution for phonos killed by a theme WITHOUT FLASHING

    Hi Motorola fans friends, a few days ago my phono went killed with a theme very heavy so I reached to boot image, and had no battery for flashing, so I came up with the following:
    I opened the transflash memory in a PC with another adapter (in my case an SD card converter), then i copied a file "startup1.txt" with code to erase the previous themes, after put it in the phono, it starts and works, deleting the installed themes in the phono and the possibility of selecting a pre-installed theme on the phono.

    I know that not everyone is going to work, since it is necesary a FW that accept startup1.txt (or similar) from TF, and that not everyone has a way to open the card with another adapter, but I wanted to share with community this achievement, because it will avoid many flashings and many accidents.

    Here is the link:Download startup1.txt

    @alegon1107

    You're the best dude! Though it has never happened to me and I'm careful so that I won't ever have to worry about it, it's a quite frequent scenario. I'll keep this in my use-in-case-of-emergency toolbox! Thank you!
