lost touchscreen with java app

Guys, I can't understand why, but I lost touchscreen after uninstalling a java app and then installing it again (other java apps work fine).
Could something be causing this? I can't think that a java app would leave anything behind though. I've tried installing it to the phone's memory as well, but nothing helps.

The app worked perfectly before (should never have uninstalled it).

The app is MXit (www.mxit.com/wap) and I kind of 'need' it!

I've tried getting their assistance at the forum, but don't know where the problem lies.
And reflash seems absurd!

Are you ''sure'' that the event occurred after the installation/un-installation of that application?

I would suggest that you keep out your battery for 5 minutes or so and reboot the phone.
Maybe master reset it too(although not essential but can be done).

Post the application here and I will have a test on my phone tomorrow.

Peculiar and one of a kind case. Had never happened with me but can be sort of annoyance. As suggested by MotoMaster , a master reset might do the trick and if you really need the app just keep it donot uninstall it but that might just sound an escape from the problem. Uninstall it completely from the .system folder and reinstall.

Actually come to think of it I didn't try a master reset - I was going to, but for some reason, didn't do it.
Well, I can run in on my other mobile as well, but like it on my A1200 as it's usually always with me.

Can't post the app, must be downloaded from the wap link.

I'll check on master reset, but still can't figure out what would cause this - unless it's the app's fault - in which case it wouldn't have worked before.

eek, did a master reset and ended up reflashing phone anyways. Well, didn't help.
Yip, it's the A1200 version.
Can anyone else test to confirm it's a problem on the app's side? Maybe uninstall/re-install as well. If you don't have an account it's fine, you can still see if you can click any of the bottom 3 buttons (Login, Register, Exit).
I had done the java hack as well for memory card access etc.

Hi, Casper if i well remember i select for try (one user asked me for try) the E6 model downloading from standard browser and this worked fine.

Any clues as to why my touchscreen won't work with this app?
It makes no sense that it would just stop working. Maybe formatting my memory card could be a solution, but I'm not in any way in the mood for all the hassle.

I know it sounds a "silly" solution but since MXit still insists on NOT working, why don't you give eBuddy Mobile Messenger a try? Get it from eBuddy / free download. It's just as good, maybe better.

As for what could be causing this problem, I'm sorry but I have no clue.

thanks intermario_gr. Well I can use it on my other phone, but I prefer using my Ming.

Thing is, I've been using MXit since my E398 days (2005), and all my contacts use mxit - non of them have any other type of accounts, so I don't know who I will chat to, but I'll at least take a look.
