T-mobile How to hack Internet on the a1200

As some users may know T-mobile no longer offers the 5.99 t-zones that had previously allowed many smart phones to use the t-zones server as a mirror to access the entire internet, now for the users that have the 5.99 t-zones on their accounts there is a thread on how to set this up (i will link in a day or 2). for those of us that don't have the 5.99 t-zones heres how to do it

NOTE: if you do not have a non smartphone type phone you cannot call t-mobile to add these features they MUST be added ONLINE, the reason is t-mobile does not recognize the a1200 IMEI# they will ask for your IMEI to verify that the phone is not a smartphone. (the base issue is they offer the same thing for smartphones but it costs 24.99 and up and they want you to pay it) the best thing is to follow the instructions listed below

First off you need to go online and select a non smartphone type phone, i used the "samsung t429" as my selection,

then goto "My Account" and then to "Change Services" and select the 100 MB Web plan for 9.99, add it to your plan (some service types require payment up front) pay it if you have to.

the following setting information is credited to Community Matters

then go into your phones settings and enter in the following infomation

Start the setup app (normally under Home->Extra, but this depends on the theme that you use)
Scroll down and click on “Data network” (almost at the bottom)
Click the menu icon and “New”
Name the profile to your liking (how about “T-Mobile”?)
Leave GPRS settings blank
Set APN to wap.voicestream.com
Leave User name and Password blank
The default Timeout of 15 minutes works for me
Primary gateway IP is 216.155.165.50, Port: 8080
Secondary gateway IP is 216.155.165.51, Port: 8080
Select DNS server and fill out the following two servers
216.155.175.40
216.155.175.170
CSD setting dial in number is +19132440821
Don’t select Query at Logon and leave User name and Password blank again
Baud rate is Auto
Line type is Modem
Timeout once again 15 minutes
Same DNS servers as above
Click Save

Once again Thanks to Community Matters for the setting

Now we're almost done next you need to add this profile
Go into Menu>>Browser
in the browser tap the browser menu icon in the lower left hand side of the screen then tap "Setup">>Profiles, then select the profile you just set up, tap Save and reboot your phone.

and that my friends is the new way to to get cheap internet on your phone

note i have tested this on my a1200 w/ amin extream elite fw and edge hack enabled, and i'm sure it would work with the E6 and a1600 as well if somone wouldn't mind testing it and giving feed back, i will however be testing it with a G1 shortly and will provide feed back on it when done
