i purchased my A1200E locally.2 days ago my phone died while talking, i tried to charge the phone with a blackberry charger with no luck. when i got home i tried to charge it with original charger. it will power on theres a red line on the battery symbol, which is blinking, and it does not charge the battery, when i take the phone off the charger, it automatically turns off (low battery) i went to purchase another battery from the local mall and the same thing with the red dash on the flashing battery symbol. please solutions? dont have my 300$ phone die in vain

oh yeah. and the top 4 icons are disabled

I would suggest that just insert the new battery and put phone in MBM mode and try to flash normally with a different f/w.

Report back the results.

I did the same thing a while ago - accidentally plugged my A1200 into my blackberry charger and killed it. However, I was fortunate in that I had a spare charged battery - so used it to flash my phone - and was able to get it back working again.

No guarantee that this will also work for you - the best bet is to try to get it repaired if it is under warranty - but if no luck there, then no harm trying this. You could take your battery into a phone store and ask them to charge it for you - or buy a cheap charger on ebay.

i got the battery charge by using someone else krzr (who knew they had the same battery) it powers on but the top panels are still stuck, so imma charge it again and attempt a flash wish me luck! ( hopefully i dont brick my phone like i did my motoQ)
