well i purchased the a1200 at a locale store but its not a official retailer, and i do not know how long they had the phone or even if they bought it second hand
If your phone is new, dont try to flash it, just send it to motorola and they will replace the unit.
Flashing will void your warranty. And if the problem appeared when you were talking (not when you made a mistake flashing a FW) its very unlikely that flashing will solve it.

Maybe only a little signature of the reseller , near the buying date will suffice... Ask moto...
I don't know, but they can't maintain an exhaustive world's retailer list... They are sold everywhere, it's not a car manufacturer after all, and they know sometimes, they will have to replace some mobos, they are used to this...
Well, i just wish you good luck.
i got around to calling motorola, and they state that since my phone is not a us phone they cannot help me, the website crapped on me as well.. any other suggestions? my warranty is valid
Send them, if they are really responsible, (if you never flashed and phone crashed by itself), then they will just have to repair, in asia, europe or US, no differences... i guess it's international, and as long as you have the vendor's card and bill...
I wouldn't trust the first phonecall you had, i dunno motorola service, but i wouldn't expect so much, I think they prefer to hire some "bitches" that make 20 cents an hour, and repeat constantly the same thing : "Huh, you don't have the last phone at 300Dollars??, I can't help you..... mmmister."

so i flashed my phone with one of the a1200-1600 hybrid's the flash was successful but the problem with the battery and the top panel not working. i am at a brick wall, motorola stated they wont return it cuz it is not an american phone, and the flashing the phone did not resolve it.... maybe a different flash, or something? ANSWERS please![]()
Although I am not much into a1200 but I would suggest a flash with a ''generic'' or stock f/w.
