A1200 repair facilities (camera repair?)

Hi all. I've had an A1200 purchased off Ebay for over a year. My camera has stopped working. Just get a black view on the viewfinder when the camera is activated. All other features work fine still. Phone's been dropped once or twice but not recently.
I sent it in to Motorola repair depot in Texas and it was returned unrepaired because "it contains software not supported in this region". I belive it's a Chinese phone, it had that China Mobile logo on the battery cover when I got it.
So now am looking for suggestions... Can someone direct me to a repair depot that "will" fix it, or, can I somehow get hold of a camera module and fix it myself?

Any tips appreciated... I don't want to dump the phone but if I have to that is the way it goes, I guess.

usually you can find the part you need @ cnn.cn but it looks like its not listed currently. you COULD email them and see if they can get it from you. Take a look at THIS GUIDE, it will give you step by step instructions to take your ming a part (its easy) and you can check the flex cable connector between the camera and the board (may just have been jarred loose)

Thanks much! I had already noted the thread on disassembly and that is very useful. Since my post I called Motorola to ask what the problem was and the guy I spoke to thought it was BS, I mean it's a Motorola phone and they should fix it. So he's going to call me back tomorrow and update me.. maybe they'll cut the red tape and do it for me.
Barring that I can try to check the cable connection inside as you suggest. Nothing to lose by trying that.
