Just post here a link for a free Motorola service for setting wap mms internet and mobile email for operator.
Just select your country and motorola model (MOTOMING A1200 and model like i,r or e )
p.s.: scroll side bar for select
After this put your number phone and Motorola SETUP will send you the correct setting for your selected operator
pwd for install: 1234 (you will receive another sms for this) just make this one month ago so not sure 100% for pwd

How long do you have to wait in order to get the initial text message from them? I've sent a request roughly 10mins ago, but still nothing.

Well, what did it do? Did it send a text message or did it install the changes by some kind of downloaded file? I am afraid to try it.

this is a service thath send you a message for selected telephony operator (just remember in italy the operator don't know for the setteing so this is especially for the country where there are not a1200 or other model... commerce). Olso for save time
Motorola Setup send you a sms with this setting (mms wap web) and when receive this sms ask you for a pwd for install in the phone (pwd 1234).
After install this sms, you will find the setting under setup data network (only add no rw)

I posted this because a lot of people ask for specific operator setting (and maybe after reflash the phone you loose this and don't remember).
In a lot of country the telephony operator don't know for setting (this service it's for all motorola phone) or like for me a1200i no brand (in italy there are 3 operator only 1 branded a1200e) and have to search for the setting in varios forum. I suggest put the link for the service in the sticky (with a better description... my english it's bad)

I agree with Marcolnx, to compile all operator settings in one sticky. But any who, this does not work for me. It's been 2 days and I have yet to receive any text messages. I applied twice, one with the international code in front of my number and one without.

Conclusion, did not work for ROGERS operator in CANADA

Sending an SMS message to tell you how to set up SMS does not make a lot of sense to me. It would have been better to just list the setting on a Ming. Some phones are not user settable, though. My problem is that I can not send multimedia via MMS on ATT United States.

Selected my country and provider etc etc.
this is exactly how I receive my settings anyhow.
With my provider you just dial *123# and follow the prompts..
Or *123*11# for mms and wap
*123*12# for mms
*123*13# for wap
Password also 1234.
But good to see this anyways.

At least the MMS settings I received are correct, the one's from my service provider are correct, except the port is set to "0" where I found it should be "8080", from MotoSetup everything is the same and the correct port is used.
