Info: Motorola SETUP free service mms wap internet ... for operator setting

this worked great for me i have been a Cingular/AT&T customer in the U.S. for many years.

on the menu i chose the a1600 model because they do not have a1200 listed for U.S.. i'm also running marco's hybrid english version FW so i figured it would work and it did, although i'm not sure if this made any difference.

previously i had used the cingular settings provided here in the forum. these new settings seem so much simpler.

after motorolasetup.tarsin.com sent me the settings, this is how the setup looks:

my MMS receive/transfer is still a tad dodgy as my sister attempted to send me a sound file and the download failed, but this is the only problem i've had so far. she was able to receive and send pictures to/from me though. those are my only experiences thus far; i'll have to experiment w/ other phones.

does anyone see anything wrong w/ such simple profile settings?

There is a Java app that came with my Moto RAZR V3xx, it's called Moto Setup. Basicly it sends an SMS with an attachment, when you select Download, it will ask if you want to install. When you click yes, it will setup up the data profiles on your phone. But that data profiles will be locked for both Internet and MMS. It worked really good on my RAZR.

that sounds like a very convenient app indeed! are the parameters in your network profile settings as simple as mine? compared to the entries that i had before, my new profile is practically empty! do you think there will be any adverse effect of not pointing to specific DNS or port? (i am newbie )

the data and mms profiles on my ming are really simple for AT&T. Don't even need username and password.

Hey guys, I managed to extract the JAR files from my RAZR. I didn't quit get the name right, the java app is just called Phone Setup, it's made by a company called Tarsin, Inc. Solutions

Just post here a link for a free Motorola service for setting wap mms internet and mobile email for operator.
Just select your country and motorola model (MOTOMING A1200 and model like i,r or e )
p.s.: scroll side bar for select
After this put your number phone and Motorola SETUP will send you the correct setting for your selected operator
pwd for install: 1234 (you will receive another sms for this) just make this one month ago so not sure 100% for pwd

even though i have put the code in the UPPER CASE.... i don't understand what is the problem...
