Quite true, but I dont like BASH scripting that much, especially on limited number of commands. But a python with some sort of wx od tk widgets mmm... I see quite a number of new apps. At least from me

It's possible to run perl, if you have am ext2 filesystem (or doing some tricks with the original vfat fs) on sdcard.
I am reinstalling things on my new 1200E and later I can post the directions

Why do we need ext2? As I recall Perl has no specifications on which filesystem it runs.

the only reason is to make symbolic links, which may be useful for some libraries, but you sure can make do without it.

I've just finished with python and have a lot more expirience in perl. But I still prefer python, cleaner code and better syntax.
