Mine originated from Hong Kong, and never experienced this, anycase, your number could have been any number, how would they know that YOUR number is the number using the Ming purchased?
I purchased a Ming A1200 from hong Kong, thephones works great but I keep getting a text message from a Hong Kong number (+1074000000) and I can't get it to stop. Even my T-Mobile service rep. could not figure out how to stop it, anyone else have this problem? Need your help.

am not sure if they know who they are texting, I am thinking that it may be coming from a third party foreign server, T-mobile agrees with that but are unable to stop the text message from coming to my phone.
Try a new sim/phone number and see if you still get them.
If changing your number is not feasible, a band aid / work around is to get an unlimted sms plan so you don't keep getting charged for them and use MCleaner to filter & delete the sms messages. I recommend version 1.2 in post #60 which is before it became shareware.

Ya, maybe just filter out with MCleaner for now..though don't see why you would be charged for receiving an sms, that's madness! I often am smsed from the UK, and am not charged - only if I send an sms out.
