Thanks Amin....what happens with the III version of your firmwares??
Wow Droopy that's good news...I hope we can get some apps from it.
Thanks AMIN !!
Yesterday, the A1800 firmware was released. It is in .SHX format, as it uses motomag i think, which is the sucessor of EZX, maybe some software is compatible.

A1800 looks more similar to A1200, than A1600, both doesn't have GPS and WLAN so I think it's firmware is more usable for ming.
Amin's Persian Gulf firmware has been updated(9/2/2010)

Well the A1800 firmware could be downloaded from here:
http://down.motobbs.com:81/A1800/mot...8.03.25.00.rar
It is .SHX format, i could not decompile it with Ezxcodec tool, we need a new tool.

@droopy
Does SHX Codec works with this?
Yes, i think it is a SHX codec (similar to previous motorola phones).
According to some developers, motomag is compatible with EZX. But we need to check this.
Maybe we coud port some applications from A1800 to A1200 also. I will search more info and revert.

But it gave me 3 warnings...
Oh it's amazing so the A1800 exist too , I don't know why Motorola released two differents successors of the Ming I but it's too bad one of them doesn't have Wifi or 3G :s.
Well, what about this new one, I read you had trouble in flashing it on our A1200 but what is the big difference with the last one ?
I love my Ming, he is still the one for me
