i'm PRETTY sure theres are OPERATOR and HARDWARE side issues with making sidekick service work on te MING......
Hello everyone,
I have a question regarding a specific service T-Mobile offers.
Right now, I have a Sidekick LX with the T-Mobile Sidekick Ulimited service. (Phone, Internet, MMS, SMS, E-mail, ETC.)
I wanted to use my old A1200 instead of the Sidekick LX. However, when I use my T-Mobile SIM card from my sidekick in my A1200, all I can do is make phone calls and receive phone calls.
SMS, MMS, and Internet do not work. Has anyone been able to adapt the A1200 to work with T-Mobile Sidekick Unlimited Service?
My initial thought upon the issue is whenever the Sidekick LX powers up, it logs into the network service with a username and password I created prior to activating my service. I do not think the A1200 has this capability. And, perhaps that's why it doesn't work.
If anyone knows the network settings for the A1200 to work with Sidekick Unlimited Service, please let me know; or any way to make the A1200 work entirely with the service.

its not possible...thats a different data service...believe me...i've had both phones also in the past....you need to switch to unlimited messaging and unlimited tzones...which comes out to the same amount of $ anyway (14.99 & 4.99)...you can actually do it online...through the tmobile website
