    Exclamation [how-to] T-Mobile MMS settings step-by-step w/photos

This is a Step-by-step guide to setting up MMS on the U.S. T-Mobile Network. There are many different settings that you may find throughout the forum, but I KNOW that these work on H2, C2, and A1600 Hybrid Firmwares as I have tried them. They also work on A780/E6/E680/E680I

Please limit posts to DIRECT questions regarding either the instructions or the photos. To keep this thread from getting cluttered I will delete anything off-topic or NOT a direct question as referenced above. Feel free to hit the "Thank You" button if you find this thread useful but PLEASE do not add a new POST for thanks.

    1) go to your main menu and tap "setup"

    2) tap "data network"

    3) I recommend that you delete all of the profiles showing and start fresh and THIS is what you will see. If not, just tap the button at the bottom left.

    4) Select "new" from the pop-up menu.

    5) Enter the profile name and GPRS setting. (leave "user name" and "password" blank and "time out" should be OFF.

    6) Enter "primary Gateway ID" and "port." "secondary gateway ID" should be blank as well as "port" and "DNS Server" should NOT be checked.

    7) "CSD setting" "Dial in number" should be blank "Query at logon" should NOT be checked, "User Name" "Password" should be blank, "Baud Rate" should be AUTO, "Line Type" should be MODEM, "Timeout" should be OFF. Tap SAVE.

8 ) You SHOULD now see the profile that you created by itself or in the list if you didn't start fresh.

    9) Go to you MESSAGE screen, tap the bottom left button and select "service set-up" from the pop-up menu

10 ) You will get another pop-up menu. Tap Multimedia message.

    11) You may or may not have something in the "Default Profile" window, whatever it says, tap the screen in that box.

    12) Tap the menu button at the bottom left.

    13) Tap "new" from the pop-up menu.

    14) You will get a screen that looks like this.

    15) enter the information into the blank boxes.

    16) Tap the box at the bottom below "Network Profile."

    17) Make sure the "T-MoMMS" profile that you selected earlier is selected and tap "OK."

18 ) "T-MoMMS" should now appear in your "Network Profile" box. Tap "save."
(max sending size should be 100k here, in MY settings i don't get a drop down menu to choose from so that's why it doesn't show in the picture)

    19) Make sure "picture Messaging" is highlighted and tap "Set as Default."

20 ) Make sure that "Expire After" is set to MAXIMUM, the boxes for "auto download" "not when roaming" and "not if more than" should be CHECKED (150k should be selected).

    21) "Show my number" should be CHECKED, tap "SAVE"

If you've done everything correctly, your MMS messaging should now work, to check, send yourself one (for some reason, when I do this, it fails to send the 1st time but works the 2nd time. you might try re-starting if this doesn't work for you).

Feel free to DONATE to MotorolaFans.com as all of these pretty pages that you post on and find helpful or informative aren't FREE to maintain

    Rock on and Happy modding!!

    Thumbs up e16Xr_a1200ER_elite.sbf it works

Yes, I just flashed my A1200E with this FW "e16Xr_a1200ER_elite.sbf" and MMS with T-Mobile wouldn't work. I used your guide and after a couple message tries and restarting my phone it works. Don't know if I had to restart my phone but I did. Thanks so much for this guide, it was easy to follow and the pictures really made it idiot proof!!!
