Maybe it's a hardware problem. Try to reflash with another firmware (please, read the forum).
If still doing the same, contact your vendor.
Hello everyone, I recently bought two Moto Ming's A1200. One for myself and one for my gf. Our Ming's are the generic A1200 with monster pack Mischka's 24xp30 currently installed.
We both love the phone, except it randomly reboots on us all the time. Every time I play games it reboots on me, and sometimes when we just leave it alone on a table it'll reboot itself as well. I have tried searching through the forums and reading about this issue, but I can't seem to find too much. Many have said flashing it to a different firmware is not the solution, and based on what I read so far on this forum, the current firmware of Mischka's 24xp30 EMEA version is a really good one.
This brings me to my question of what should I do and does anyone else have this problem? If so, what did you do to resolve the issue? My gf's phone randomly reboots itself several more times then my phone does, but my phone reboots itself sometimes too. It's starting to get really annoying, and I'm starting to think it could be the batteries. Perhaps replacing the battery will help? If so, does anyone know of a good retailer for buying new batteries for the Moto Ming?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

did you install any new applications on the phone??
or enable EDGE ??
I did install multiple games and such to it, but the randomly rebooting thing happened way before I installed anything on there. As for flashing to different firmware, I really like the current firmware on there (Monster pack Mischka's 24xp30 EMEA version).
I really think it's the battery. I am going to replace the battery and see how it works for a full day with a different battery. I will update this thread with any new information I discover.
But you can't try to flash with another firmware just for testing. If the phone still doing the same, send it to an official motorola service. If it not, you can reflash it with Monster pack Mischka's 24xp30 EMEA version.
it might just be that the flash wasn't completely successful. Try to reflash with the same FW, or if u are willing to try then I wud suggest Amin's Extreme Elite which is very stable and one the best FWs or Amin's Persian Gulf which is a work in progress but is really good.
Regards, Dina
I would urge you to demand for a replacement!
the reason being, even i had the same problem with .80p
So i went ahead and got it flashed at the service center to .13p
Yet no use!
It still keeps rebooting...Just as you said ,while playing games or when its sitting idle,it really doesnt matter!!!!
The interesting thing is many other phones with .80p havent rebooted(my friends own a few).
Secondly i read in replies to check for EDGE or new apps..
I neither have EDGE nor did i install any apps...
I fact i removed a few apps once i got the new FW
(retained a few games ,thats all)
So this seems to be a HW problem as far as i'm concerned!!
I have posted a similar problem ,awaiting reply..check it out!
regards
this was happening to my significant others phone and I decided one day to fix it or die trying. I had reflashed multiple times, and i had followed all the instructions for fixing the reboots after edge seem edit. nothing. I decided I would give her my working ming and take her rebooting ming. I opened the rebooting ming up and noticed that there was a small jumper wire running to 2 points on the mainboard on the side that the TF and sim card connectors were. I took this wire off and the phone worked fine except the TF card. I put the wire back and the tf worked but reboots happened. so I resoldered the wire nice and tidy and applied some protection to it (as it was just a bare copper thread before) and now everything works with no reboots. I'm not sure of the wire was on there and the unit I got was a refurb/repair unit (sold to me as new) or if this wire was originally installed to open the phone up or what but ever since I have reworked that wire my phone is finally working great. hope this helps

Wow that's awesome that you fixed it Dismal. Is there any way you can provide me with some pictures to show me what I'm looking for inside the phone? It would help me a great deal.
For everyone else who have been having this problem, here is what I have tried so far with some limited success. I flashed the phone to a C2 track, Amin's Extreme Elite. When I flashed it, and kept the default skin/theme, it stopped rebooting and I could play games on it for hours with out any issues. I tested it 2 straight days, playing games on it through out the day for sessions of 1-2 hours each. It was working great and I was really happy. I then installed a skin on it for my girlfriend, and the phone started rebooting again. I took the skin off and it's would still reboot randomly. I have since re-flash it again with the exact same firm ware, and it doesn't reboot on it's own anymore. It will stay on and work just fine for making calls and texting, but when you play games for more then 30 or so minutes, it will reboot.
To recap:
1) My original flash to Amin Extreme Elite C2 track solved the problem of rebooting while playing games and randomly rebooting. I could play games for hours without any problem.
2) Installing a skin/theme caused the problem to come back with the new firm ware. It will reboot randomly, and also reboot while playing games.
3) I re-flash the phone with Amin's Extreme Elite C2 track again and the phone stops randomly rebooting, but will now reboot when I play games for more then 30 minutes.
