    Default Video Recorder Time

Anyone know about the recording time on the video recorder?
I have an SD card in there that it saves to, but mine only records like 4 seconds of video then stops automatically!
    What's up with that?
That's not even worth putting it on for.
Is there some way to get it to record LONGER?

    Thanks!

Format the SD (keep the sylus 4 seconds on the TRANSLFASH name)
    FORMAT option appears.

    I don't understand...
I have other stuff on my SD card.
Why would I format it just to get the recorder to record longer?
Shouldn't it just record until I either stop it or run out of room on the SD card? Why does it just stop at 4 seconds?
    Please explain...

The only limit for video recorder is a free space on your TF

If that's true... then I got a 1 gig card in there with over 800mb of space left.
And it's automatically stopping at like 3-4 seconds.

If it takes all that up just to record 4 seconds of video...
why did they even bother putting a vid recorder in...?

Supposedly A1200's can only handle 2 Gig cards.

If what your saying is true, and it's only limited by the space you have on the card (which I kind of thought should be the case)... then you'd only be able to get like 8 seconds of video with a 2 gig card...???

    Don't make sense.

Why would they even include a video recorder then?

You sure there isn't some setting someplace that maybe is limiting my record time and stopping it at 4 seconds?

I think it's somemething wrong with your TF. Try to copy all the files from TF to a PC and than try to format your TF.

    I figured it out.
I reformatted my SD, and then copied everything back to it.
Then I noticed that what I was doing was hitting the "Record" button, hearing it crank for 4 seconds then stopped making noise... so then I was hitting "Done"... basically stopping the recording after 4 seconds.

    DUH!

Wut can I say... I'm an ass.

    Sorry.

    But thanks!
