Default Q: Movie watching and overclocking

I often watch movies on my ming in zmplayer. I convert them to mp4 with a framerate of 25fps and then put them on my sd card.

I find that large video files tend to lag occasionally whilst being played. I don't know what this is due to but I'd like an advice on the subject.

Is it better to convert them to 23.976fps? Would they lag?

Does overclocking do any better in speeding up the processor thus allowing the file to be rendered at a faster rate?

What's the best player for large video files? What do you watch movies in?

    Thanks

    From FAQ sticky:

ZMplayer can handle 320x240 at 25fps (with a bitrate of 300-2000), ZMPlayer can also support 30 fps, but you will need to lower the bitrate.

    ZMPlayer Playback is Jumpy!

If your videos don't run smoothly all the time, sometimes they get stuck for a moment then try turning off your Antenna (Click on Status Bar and set Antenna ==> OFF.

What are the Optimal Settings for ZMPlayer?

Users report the following settings work well to produce smooth video:
    w Mp4 video
    w 320x240 resolution
    w 200-250 bit rate
    w 25 frames per second
    w Audio AAC codec
    w stereo
    w 64-82 bit rate.
