Discussion: Does 4 GB card works in A1200?

So what options are there?
Get a partition utility for the ming that'll allow it to format/read/write multiple partitions on a miniSD?
somehow update/hack/whatever the ming to allow it to address cards larger than 2/4/8GB?

If there's a way to do this, I might be in the market for at least an 8GB microSD.

I bought a 4GB toshiba micro HCSD
but my ming didnt recognize it,
i even changed it format to fat16(by HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool) but still didnt worked, i also devide it to two partitions (by xp boot disk)but still didnt worked
there is no 4GB micro sd and non HC
i think there is no way to have 4GB memory on ming.

i think the ming file system is fat16, & fat16 cant mount storage that is upper than 2gb!
if you can use all of your 4gb storage, its a miracle

Can the Ming save to the card if it was reformatted? That might help the PC discover the USB mass storage drive also.

It's ridiculous. Nobody spoke of an SDHC card. There are MicroSD cards of 4GB, developed by Trascend, and some other card manufacturer, that are compliant with the SD format.

We in iran only have SDHC micro cards

CAn you actually use all 4gb of space? I'm new to the A1200 (just got mine today), but I have a Motorola mpx220 before and it could only read up to 1GB even though my 2gb card worked...it could only use the first 1gb of storage space.

it works with 2 G. i have just tested. i intended to buy 2G one but i am worried about the speed of phone. any effect?
