Q: Any torrent client for a1200?

as the title describes that is there any torrent client for our pretty a1200 becoz nokia has sym torrent and opera browser for s60 which can download torrent files easily

I totally agree with you, Ming is just a toy, if you want a real smartphone you have to look somewhere else. But for torrents this isn't even the biggest issue.

For torrents to work even remotely well you would need at least 3G speeds, but preferably HSDPA or Wifi. EDGE is just way too slow for it.

guys this slow speed is i think just an excuse and further for the torrent client developer should think of it becoz its a race with a1200 and nokia

i feel it is wrong to think that it is some kind of race between nokia and a1200 (a.k.a ming).they are two different brands,two different leagues.we at motorolafans just want to explore the possibilities that opensource provides.we dont want to beat anyone.we have standards and goals of our own.motorola has provided us opensource so we have a feel of control,a feel of having the power to mod and grow.
we may strive to incorporate features of other brands into our phones just to make our motos better and better not to win any race.

i get a feeling that people who think of this as a race are more inclined to other brands,regretting and desperate to justify their buy.

P.S & N.B : No offence to bpratap,this is just my opinion.hope u take it lightly....cheers .

you are right that its not a race but its actually a race between my brother(having n73) and me (owning a1200) and i dont want my brother to laugh on my ming with n73's app capability becoz i love my a1200 a lot and i assure you all that i will not keep my ming away from me atleast till i am alive

Now I get it, you want a torrent client just to show off, so that's why the speed doesn't matter.

Well, good luck with that, but I think your brother has won already, because unfortunately even my almost 5 year old Symbian S60 1st Edition phone beats Ming by a very far margin when it comes to software.

hello smaniac i have full confidence on my a1200 and i truly believe on our moderators and developers and i am sure that they are trying their best in developing apps and softs for our truly prettiest,beautiful,lovely,speedy,customizable a1200
