Question HELP - PKG Apps Refuse To Install

In order to run a few apps at startup, I partially flashed my A1200 handset (08p) with CG4308p.sbf as stated in the post at the URL http://www.motorolafans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11993.

The flash was successful but after restarting my phone, all the PKG apps that were installed using MPKG refused to run saying

    Invalid application file!

    The file cannot be used.

So I uninstalled not only all the PKG apps but also the MPKG app. I reinstalled MPKG hoping that I will be now able to install the PKG apps but strangely after installing MPKG & restarting the phone, when I tapped a PKG file (located in the TF Card) to install it using MPKG (or held the stylus on the PKG file for a couple of seconds & then selected MPKG by tapping Open With...), it still refused to install & generated the above error (in red).

What am I supposed to do now?

The post at the above URL distinctly states that partial flashing with the SBF file won't remove or reset user settings & data. To add salt on my wounds, it further assures that after flashing, one won't even realize that his phone has been flashed as the phone retains it's originality.

I not only realized it but also am paying a heavy price for it! In fact, to ensure myself more than 100% that the flashing indeed won't create any problems, I had also sent a private message to the author of the above thread (didn't ask the question publicly as I felt that the thread has become old) but unfortunately the author didn't respond to my message.

Please note that I used the generic MPKG installer (which can be found at http://www.motorolafans.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=13151) to install MPKG in my phone. This is because prior to this problem, I had used the same generic MPKG installer to install MPKG in my phone. Though stated earlier, let me repeat that I am on 08p.
    Thanks,

    Ron
