Q: Can i run a cron job to change background?

I would like to change my ming's background everyday morning. Is that possible? something kind of cron job.

wat do u mean by background ? skin n themes is it ? if so.. then u can change it like every hour wit skin n splash installer

he means the wallpaper should be changed every morning at a predefined time automatically

Ya know, I would probably never use a feature like that...but its a neat idea.

Yesterday, I noticed my kids plan was elig for an upgrade over at ATT. The dog ate her current phone (Im SO NOT lying). She currently has a SLVR L7. So, I went ahead and did the upgrade and got her some little Sony E pink thing...its just a little inexpensive phone...And I'll be dipped if one of the features isnt this scheduled theme change thing!

She can change the theme automatically for day and night on a set schedule. Like I said, Id never use something like that, but Im sure she will. I bet this feature comes soon for us.

This is where i wish i knew at least a little something about programing/developing software. I would give it my best shot to make a wallpaper(Background) changer, where you could set the options to have the wallpaper changed automatically at predefined times, include folders, files, and subfolders in your directories for available backgrounds, background changes in order of list or randomly, etc...

I have seen WM versions of wallpaper changers, and i have also seen one or two for Symbian i think. But, none for our MING as of yet.

Just wish i could develop at least an alpha version or something, but having 0% knowledge of programming i maybe should inquire about making an offer to a developer to design this type of program maybe. Oh well, its just eye candy, but i do despise seeing the same thing for too long on the background, and having to change the background manually.

I saw on other topics that cron is not that precise on ming as on desktop, i dont know the reason but u can create cron jobs, but they never happen when they should.
