Can you post a link to this WiFi stick with a mni USB port, that looks like a normal USB port on that stick to me. And when I searched on google I got some stuff to connect a PSP wirlessly to a comp
There are new hardware out there that could be used to have wireless internet on our ming.
The hardware uses the Mini-usb plug of our phone instead of the SD wifi card that is not suitable and it is very expensive.
I know there are linux programs that are capable of working with this WIFI Sticks, so we could adapt the code to work on our mings (A1200) easily. (similar to the webcam application for instance).
Anyone here has tested this new WIFI Stick ??

There are many USB to mini-USB adapters out there.
Let me post later more details about this.

Looks very interesting. Let's see what happens on this front.
I fear without the SDK for the phone writing drivers will be impossible

Droopy, The thing in pic is actually the (GPRS/CDMA2000) USB-Data-Card which works as modem for netconnect. Many of us are already using this WIFI-Stick in different models from AIRTEL, TATA, Reliance, etc.
And ming itself have a the capability of being a Modem. Do you do you mean to say that you want to use this MODEM (wifi) to be connected to another modem (ming) for netconnect? Why your ming does not work like modem?
One more thing, this image of Belkin's Wifi stick does show its USB A port, and not the USB-Mini port. what exactly you want to do? BTW my Ming works great as Modem connected to EDGE GPRS on my pc and laptop both and very coolly works as my standby internet connection even in my office and at home.
When in Ming itself we can use internet from many gsm service providers, why you will need another stick? Did not see your point. May be I mis-understood you. So can you please be more clear in your question itself?
LEMME TELL YOU ALL ONE MORE FUNNY PART HERE, Using USB adaptors or gender changers wont make any difference coz, exactly like the WIFI-stick, ming takes the 5v power from its usb port from outside for charging or working, it cannot send power output to this or any USB devices no matter how you connect. Its like some kind of lesbian scene.

Primary Device: Motorla Milestone (UK Edition) FroyoMOD 2.9.3 (ROOTED)
Secondary Device: A1200 Originally with FW .08P (Now with Novin's 11.56.11R version 1.5 with eXMMS+ZMPlayer+Games+etc etc)
Also using with O2 Atom Life with rocking and latest FW WM6.5.
We're discussing about connecting to a WiFi network via that modem you see there. WiFi is cheaper(free) and then we can use VOIP with high speed data transfers. GPRS/EDGE is too expensive and slow.
I got a charger for my E6 with a AA battery, if I used a normal Duracell or EverReady battery it'd charge my phone, but when I plugged in a rechargeable battery, strangely my phone started charging the battery lol. Very wierd, So I guess we could power the WiFi adpater except the Ming/E6 battery has an O/P voltage of 3.7v
