Q: How do I restore contacts from Backup-Restore app?

i wanted to MASTER CLEAR my phone ..so before proceeding that ..i install BACK UP N RESTORE application n saved the backup file PIM.BRN
now i'm done with the MASTER CLEAR ..n trying to restore the backup file saved in the memory card (PIM.BRN) but my contacts n messages are not coming back

by restoring ..it just created a folder in the backup folder named as "restoretmp" n it has 2 diif folders "ezx_user" and "ezxlocal" out of which "ezxlocal" is an empty folder and "ezx_user" contains a folder "sysDatabase" in which there is a file "main" which is a data base file

NOW WHAT SHOULD I DO ..I DONT KNOW ANYTHING ..please help my all contacts are very important ..please guide me step by step in simple language ..how can i restore my contacts n messages in my phone .. PLEASE HELP

I'm fairly new myself, but here's what I would do.

Make sure you have a copy of the backed-up data, keep it on your SD card or computer in case the copy you use to restore data is somehow corrupted.

How to Restore your data
1. goto backup folder that you keep a backup file (*.brn)
2. tap and hold on backup file until popup menu appear .Select Openwith menu and choise Backup & RestoreNow.
3. for security and miss tapping you should not check on 'use this program to open' box. and tap on ok button. dialog "tap on backupfile again to confirm a restore process" will appear. tap on ok button to close dialog.
4. tap and hold on backup file and openwith Backup & Restorenow again. you 'll see message "Start restore your addressbook, sms, mms, and email, calendar and work."
5. after restoration complete dialog "Restore complete!" appear.

PS. Next time you do a Master Clear, you could backup using Backup-Restore as well as MPT.

just reboot the phone after the restore !
